Back in the mid 1990's, Kid Acne and (DJ) BENJAMIN formed a group called MONGRELS. They self-released a few records from time to time before the project lay dormant for over a decade. A few years ago, Kid Acne unearthed some early demos and half-finished material, which inspired them to get back in the studio and pick things up where they'd left off.
Over the past 12 months, these endeavours have began to see the light of day in the form of LOW BUDGET/HIGH CONCEPT, YOU DIG RAPS? (Part 1) and BURGUNDY BLOOD MEETS MONGRELS... IN THE POP WILDERNESS. The main focus however, was to create a full length album, which soon became ATTACK THE MONOLITH.
